Role and Responsibilities:
Assist and work with the senior trader on operational and commercial matters to ensure smooth trade flows
Coordinate with the in-house operations team and external counterparties on logistics matters to ensure deliveries are completed optimally
Assist and ensure all physical and pricing positions are properly marked and executed
Manage and develop buyer & supplier relationships
Opportunity to work with senior management to expand the trading book with new products & geographies across industrial metals and minerals
The Successful Applicant Will Have:
Around 3-5 years working experience in a physical trading house on a AGRO PRODUCTS desk
Familiarity with physical trading of Agro Products (Knoweldge of Betel Nuts, Ground Nuts, Raw Cashew Nuts, Gambier and Coconut Derivatives)
Additional Knowledge of spices such as Cardammom, cloves, pepper and nutmeg would be additional advantage.
Good knowledge of and exposure to the supply chain and operations (logistics, documentation, etc)
A willingness to travel to farms, processing sites and warehouses (Africa, South East Asia, etc)
